NeL - the already GPL engine - is commented in English (sometimes poor English, but English none the less.) I can only surmise that since the engine is commented (and commited) with English comments that the game is as well. Perhaps one of the former Nevrax employees can confirm or deny?

anyone more sure?

I'm just generally interested in browsing over the code and maybe making a few examples from it along with seeing the inner workings of a complete mmo.

You can already browse source code : http://cvs.nevrax.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/code/

There are some comments in french :p but very little :)

Example (line 354 of tile_bank.cpp) :

Quote:
Je parie que ce patch reste jusqu'à la fin du jeu. (Hulud)

Even if there is some french in it, I'll be glad to translate it.
And there are probably a lot of other people who can help doing that. :)

Working on the code itself will be more difficult of course. ^^'
