Well, I just came back here to find all the other games suggested for open-sourcing. ^^
There's a "Project open" over at http://www.freegamer.blogspot.com:

http://freegamer.schattenkind.net/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=22&S=52552445952c6ef941f0b8005dc4042e

It's rather about freeing games through discussion with the developers, but might also be effective.

I also recently discovered some interesting Free art sites:
http://freegamearts.tuxfamily.org/
http://virtualworlds.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

I think this might be interesting for the Build a World project.

Other than that, I'm currently working on i-team. Not a MMORPG, but a Free game. :)

I'm still on the mailing-list and willing to help free some good games. ;)

Yes, although we haven't focused on art yet, we're compiling a list of free art that's available. Thanks for the links.

Currently we're working on the GRA over at Project Angela. Once that's done, it will be possible for game designers to begin building games. The BuildaWorld forum should become more active at that point.

A fully customizable worms-like game. Looks pretty interesting. Have you chosen an engine yet?

It is supposed to be a Gunbound clone, but it's true that it currently looks more worms-like.
Mods are planned as far as I know, so playing as in worms might be possible. Maybe Worms with vehicles. ^^
But the priority right know is to finish an alpha release.

We are using an engine created by the project leader (DarkGUY): GP2D.
It's being developed at the same time as the game.

SVN activity is currently rather low, but should be going up again soon. ;)
