I know it is a bit too early to jump up and down but I admit when I saw that the www.ryzom.com site was saying they will be back, my hart tripled its speed for 10 sec.
And so, the reason for my thread is to have an official thread about any possible confirmations of Ryzom really getting back.
Is it true or has someone hacked the site ?
The domain lookup of www.ryzom.com says it was updated this week.
Please do not post speculations, nor spaming, nor non-sense talk. We need to keep this thread clean so we do not waste 20 pages of reading to find out there is no news. |

| Well, whoever poked into the domains does have access to the full user database of Klients with the data of about less than a month ago. |

Hmm. Makes me wonder if anything really will happen. I still have hope though! Getting tired of World of Warcraft. |

You and me both. The fire festival going on is kinda neat, but WoW just doesn't have Ryzom's /zing/.
Miniscule findings are trickling down through the Yubovision forums. They seem to have the most information I can locate so far.
We're at that stage now, from what I can gather, that things are quietly gathering. The preparations are being made, but the fuse has yet to be lit. I'm still on baited breath, not sure whether I dare disturb things by hoping.
Let's see where this goes. |

I wish it was true.. but I have my doubts.
ryzom.de shows the same picture like ryzom.com.
(the html-code already hints towards domain snipers.)
I've checked the whois information.
Internic denies giving me information about ryzom.com other than the registrar (gandi.net .. french), but probably the same as ryzom.de.
ryzom.de is owned by "Infoline Computer Handels GmbH". http://www.infoline-computer.com/
Domain-snipers.
ryzom.fr also still seems to be in the hands of a domain-sniper. |

| Where did you get that Infoline is a domain sniper? Seems like a very small webdesign/hosting company to me but not a domain sniper. Anyway, it would not be wise to leave Admin-C as it is when attempting to take over a domain (Admin-C has full control, not the holder). |

I've looked at other domains they own.
Its only a guess, but the best one I have right now. |

| Are other people able to log into the forums? For me it says I have insufficient privileges. |

Right. I've done more research and that guy actually grabbed some other domains (he does some serious business too). But its odd:
1. He was able to change the owner record.
2. He did not change admin-c, the contact denic will ask for decisions and achnowledgements on domain transfer.
3. The domain didn't expire (ryzom.fr did)
4. The new owner changed nameserver records to ovh recently.
Is it a failed attempt to take over the domain? Did the new owners notice it? |

www.ryzom.fr is now pointing to Silverfast !
"Worldwide regarded as the professional Standard for Scanner Software and Imaging Software!" as they say !!!
Silverfast is located to Kiel, Germany... |

| Let's all just stop linking to ryzom.fr. Some folks will just go to any length to increase traffic. |

Darn, I am out of luck for now. I wish they would list some contact information.
Thanks. |
