The capital of an MMORPG consists of mainly two things:
- The player base = the number of subscribers that generate money for the MMORPG company.
- The potential of the game = the number of subscribers and the amount of subscription fees a game can potentially gain if marketed well.
Obviously, some MMORPGs have a much higher value than others by that formula. And obviously, almost any known MMORPG has a much higher value than any small grassroots community like ours could ever accumulate. |
