It would be a good idea if we could count our troops ready to fight for the survival of Ryzom.
If you agree, I suggest that you post your ingame character's name on Arispotle.
A little motivation/presentation speech would also be appreciated, if you feel like it.
German people are encouraged to do the same if you can transfer/translate the request for them. |

What do my character names have to do with anything? :p They aren't me; I just occasionally speak past them.
But alright...
TeiJeng
Jelathnia
Maethro
Cenaeri
ShuaLi
And one more, KianShi...I was going to recreate him to attend the next Festival of Light, to honour a promise he made.
As for "a little motivation/presentation speech"...
For 2+ years I played and adored Ryzom. Even yesterday I discovered wonderful things in-game that I hadn't noticed before. Atys...gorgeous, vibrant, alive...it never fails to instill a sense of amazement and tranquility in me. The creaking of the bark by the desert cliffs, dwarfing everything...the many secrets of Liberty Lake...the greatest waterfalls of the newlands, hidden in the middle of a semi-desert...and everywhere, amid the untamed surging of flora and fauna, memories. Tucked into every square meter, the experiences of hundreds of players, silently adding to the life of the gameworld.
Sometimes, especially when the core members of the last guild Jelathnia was a part of began to dissipate, it was easy even for me to forget how special Ryzom is. A couple hundred entries on Jelathnia's contacts list, most of them absent. The same is true of the contacts lists of many long-term players.
But that doesn't make Ryzom any less unique, any less beautiful, or any less worth saving. In fact, it makes this particular project so much more hope-giving. In the hands of its community, Ryzom can thrive. It can be itself, its own qualities accentuated and expanded by people who care about the game, its current community, and its former community, rather than be relegated to the cold hands of some company who must guard their bottom line above all. We, even those of us who no longer play but still have a place in our hearts for Ryzom, can contribute to a Ryzom that is free-as-in-freedom, giving it the development and marketing it deserves. Atys can be our bonsai. (xD) |

Grundelwolf... even with such a name I stand tall in the world of Ryzom...
To me this is a world which i can roam... i am a stay home dad, with no chances of getting to travel. So this is my portal to a freedom which i cannot attain in rl... (kind of ironic)
Beren was actually one of my recruiters from the first day i set foot on mainland... it has been friends and fun ever since.. since i have played this i even have made more friends in RL..it would be a shame for the "Seed" to wither... as even now it lacks homin love and nutrient..
Atys Ghosts freedom and acceptance for all...

I am Sherkalyn, a Fyros woman, Atysian Homin refugee and proud officer of the Exodus Syndicate.
I first came to Silan a couple of months ago after hearing the call of a little Tryker named Beau. I was listening to the stories of what he had discovered on the Green Planet, every week, saying how much Atys is a nice place to live in and how wonderful it looks. Those tales were true and I will never regret having believed in them.
On Silan, I met a ton of wonderful people who were always ready to answer my questions, even if they were very few, and to help me in my dangerous tasks. When I was finally done, I decided to follow their example as it was the best way I could find to thank them, and started to help my fellow homin refugees, no matter what was their race or origin, to get around on Silan. Either by sharing my knowledge, assisting them in dangerous tasks, rezzing the unconscious when I could move around fast enough, providing the merchant with large quantities of materials at low price for the beginner crafters or careplanning out of team because my level was capped anyways, I did my best to make Silan a welcoming place for my fellow refugees.
When I finally had gathered all the necessary dappers to make the trip to the Mainland after four months of hard work, I said goodbye to my fellow refugees and landed in Pyr where my guildies were impatiently waiting for me. Day after day, week after week, I learned to know them better and they really became my family. I trained with them, fought with them, laughed with them, cried with them. I also met many homins who became my friends, yet I don't really know if it was me who was helping them or them who were helping me the most.
There was friendship, there were fights, there was cooperation, there was war, but in the last moments there was mostly love. No matter what conflicts had happened in the past, homins that were ennemies stopped fighting each other and regrouped, all affraid of losing their precious paradise. Exodus Syndicate is my Family, most homins became my Friends and Atys is my home and it is the only world I want to live in.
I refuse to let this world vanish, I will never give up. I will fight for my refuge until the very end because "Atys ain't dead until its death". You can find me digging in Dyron, if the living planet really dies, there will probably be my grave... but I won't let it happen that easily. For that, you can believe me. |
