this article is talking about a company building a mmo (I *think* it's closed source) and they're building it with open source tools.

That's a pretty decent article, and does cover part of what I've been saying. Though open source does have a lot of the items in it that we wish to utilize, getting them to meld together can be a larger undertaking than most realize.
