Hello,
I think the first step to make free games of good quality (with good graphics, music ...) is to make a site giving the possibility to share this kind of resources so that developers can find easily what they search, and that graphists/musicians can capitalize. I don't know if this kind of site exists already, but I didn't managed to find one.
It would be very useful. I coded a game (a shoot'em up with some orginal ideas 8) ), but as I had to do all resources by myself, it kept small.
I think it wouldn't be too much work. Needed features include search, tagging, tree classification and regrouping multiple files. Note that ALL files should be under FREE (as in freedom) licences, and that licence should be specified (selecting some licences should be possible in research though).
I let you think about it, and if someone knows this kind of site, or make one, let me know. I have some resources that could be interesting for some people. |

| Great 3D resources, mush of those can be adapted & remade to fit the game contents. |

| A lot of them can be. Myself, for quick humanoids and creatures, I tend to use Creature Lab from FX Realms. Makes a quick simple model that all I have to do really is rig and animate. Speeds up the process real fast, and the models are actually fairly good quality too. |
